Home from Emergency Surgery

Well, as some of you know, and others do not. I got admitted for emergency gallbladder removal surgery late Monday night. I have been in the hospital all week. I am home now, and finally back online. So I am trying to catch up but I'll have to ask that you all be patient with me. I'm only about 60% back. And still quite sore. But alive and that is good.

No stitching so far, but maybe this weekend I can work on Stitch or Die, as it's easier and stuff. Still on pain meds so sometimes kinda loopy. But getting there.

  4. My sister-in-law went through five years of gallbladder pain, so although you probably can't think about feeling 1000% better right now, you will in a short period of time. And that awful pain will never bother you again. Rest, relax, get better!

  19. Wow, spent the whole week in the hospital? Were there complications? My sis in law had that surgery in the doctor's office, believe it or not. Of course it was laparoscopic but still I wouldn't have risked it. Hope you're feeling 100% soon.

  21. I am so glad to hear that you are okay. I know how dangerous that darned gallbladder can be. Almost lost my Grandma to it last summer because gallstones blocked her liver. But, she has never been under anesthisia and refuses to have her gallbladder removed even though all the scans show it is loaded full of stones. I dread the day another stone blocks something else.

Take it easy and if your loopy please don't stitch as the frogs will more than likely attack.

    Hugs,
