PIRATE GIVEAWAY

Did you notice I lied? I didn't mean to it just got away from me. :) But here it is finally. The Pirate Giveaway.
I am giving away a Sue Hillis Pirate called "Love Pirate". (photo to left was my finish of it)
It is without the heart charm as I did do up this piece myself already. However I think it'd be easy to find another heart charm or a pirate item to put over the red box. An opportunity for creativity! Alongside it will be a piece of linen perfect in colour and size for the piece. As well as some extra goodies.

How to enter:
A. Must be a follower of my blog
B. Post a comment on this post (only this post will count)
C. Wait for me to draw a name (random of course) and see if you win.
D. Closing is Monday, Feb 20 at 5:00pm MST.
Bonus: Post a link to this contest on your blog and get a bonus entry (you must tell me in your comment that you posted it).

I'm going to have a few more giveaway items next week as it will be my birthday and I'd love to gift some stash out to others. (that is why this is only one instead of the usual two packages).
Good luck to everyone!

For those curious I have finished my Feb cottage but I forgot to take a pic. I'll get on that this week and share a new start with you as well!
Thanks for reading and following! :)

WIPocalypse #2 (Cottages & Ravens)

It's that time again (can't believe it's already full moon #2 of this month) to share some updates that are goals of mine to complete by the end of the world. heehee or at least the end of the year. :)
I've been working on my cottages again and got January done. I did some Krenik in the snowflakes, but I think it's hard to tell... However here's the final product for January, you can see that I've started February next to it:

I realized the other day that I haven't even shared a start of my La-D-Da Raven. This is what it looks like so far. I think I have seriously frogged more stitches out of it than I've put in. At this point I've done the word weary about 3 times! It's the linen and not the pattern. While the colour is very cool I really hate the threads on it. They are sooo uneven and it's sooo soft that it just doesn't want to be stitched on. Even with it on my stretcher bars. However, here's a bit of a sneak peek:

That's where I'm at right now with stitching. I have put more stitches into Dragons as well and worked my Mill Hill Kit a bit more. I'm doing Holiday Delivery right now.
I need to be on a serious stash diet. And I mean serious if I'm going to make it to Europe. I don't share too often what I buy anymore because there's so much of it it's overwhelming to put away never mind photograph (and then you'd all know how much stuff I buy! lol). But I do need to cut back.
However this week I get to pick #2 of my free HAED charts from the "Find Bob" contest I won. I'm having trouble picking. I'd love to get your help! Just enter the poll below. Can't wait to see what you all think is best! (yes I know some of you will not like either, for that I apologize I have many more I want but wanted to narrow it down to one of these two this month). Maybe I will have a vote every month between a few choices. I find it so hard to pick on the HAED site as I love them all! (sorry the poll is so big I can't seem to make it smaller, darn thing anyways!)
Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm going to put up the pirate contest by the end of the week. I promise. (really I do. I will not slack on it this week!) So be sure to come on back and enter!
Thanks for all your support and comments! :)

Finished ... Dragons

Okay it's not finished. Just another row but it's still very exciting. Only three more rows to go!!!
Doesn't add much from the last time you saw the design as his head is there and such, just filled the space in around. As I work on the next page you'll start to see the second dragon come into view better (the blue stuff on the left side is the beginning of that dragon).
I think that a bunch of the rest of this pattern is going to go much faster as the scales are no where near as elaborate as on the green dragon and there is sky over water which is much more solid.
I'm always excited to make progress on dragons. Here they be so far:
And from an angle:
I need to remember to put a coin or something next time I take a photo as it helps with the sizing. My MIL saw it in person for the first time a few weeks back and commented on how she really wasn't sure what it's sizing was or how tiny the stitches were from just seeing it on my blog. Noted to myself to do that next time.

After success with dragons I picked up Soul Mates for a bit and got through most of another half page. I just have to fill in some holes with one colour. So soon I will have more blue blob to show you. Ohhh... how exciting! :)

Not too much else up, just got my February cottage in the mail and need to finish those snowflakes on January. Some small progress with Rose at other people's places that I've gone to stitch lately. That's about all for now.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my beading last time around. I really appreciate it. Haven't done any since but I'll get back to it (eventually) and try something different next time.
Thank you for all your comments!
