August SFS2015-A Reporting - WIP Butterfly Update

Well... so I had a budget... and had kept to it. And then I got invited to a private Stash Unload group... and I did pretty good for awhile... until I didn't anymore. AND then my Etsy shop had a killer month (for no apparent reason) and so I had "extra" money (that should have gone to my disaster of a yard project budget that is double the estimate, sigh) but because I needed gratification from the yard disaster I bought more stuff...
I know you're all thinking that your leader for SFS is the crappiest ever. I tend to agree. I'm not inspiring anyone (including myself) at this point.

Carry-over = $11.00
Budget = $25.00
Finish = $0.00
Total = $36.00
Spent = $163.50

Overage = $127.50
Yep I suck. That's really all I can say at this point.

Butterfly WIP Update
Well in good news I've made some progress with my Butterfly. These pictures are from last week and I'm actually a bit further ahead again but not enough to make it worthwhile to take new photos.
This is a Mill Hill kit on perforated paper. I've done a lot of Mill Hill's but I can honestly say this has been one of my absolute favourites. I love the colors, beads and the flow of the pattern. I dunno what makes it better I just know it is. (yep I sound crazy)
Please forgive the bad color in the photos I'm not sure why it's so off and I just can't seem to get it quite right with editing. The background perforated paper is actually a light green or minty green.
My hope is to have it finished and counted for next month's SFS.

Thanks to everyone for your comments on Alice start. I haven't picked her up since because the shop has been so busy but I'll get there. Also did the border of Take Time to Read a few weeks ago and have some comments and things to share on it soon too.
Thanks for dropping by!

That Mill Hill kit is awesome. Love the way they mixed the beads to accentuate the butterfly wings.

Ouch, that's quite an overage! You're so bad! It must be something in the air because my September report will be large. Splurge! Your butterfly is very pretty.

The butterfly is lovely and I don't think you are crazy; the pattern just speaks to you (am I crazy?).

I've been fighting a massive desire to splurge. Actually, I have splurged somewhat, but it's been on tools so it doesn't count :-) ... but I soon want to buy some kits. There really must be something in the air.

The butterfly piece is very pretty. I will have a splurge for my September report. It came in within budget but for me it was HUGE. Looking forward to seeing what you bought.

I did the same thing in July. But it is possible to come back from that. I'm back on budget for September. Pretty design.

What a beautiful design
I never made a mill hill kit but it looks stunning.
I love to work with beads ( mirabilia ) so maybe i have to try a mill hill kit sometime
Look forward to see what lovely things you bought :)
I am glad that you are not perfect with your budget because if you were, you probably never set up sfs in the first pllace :) and that would be bad for all of us :)
Hopefully for your budget, you can come a bit out of the red again and end 2015 gracefully.
Wish you many luck with your etsy shop and enjoy those lovely beaded butterfly

Oh dear! At least you earned the month in the real world and its only the SFS budget that's in the red and not your bank account.

The butterfly is lovely. Very blingy!

Oh well these things happen. I think it's the change in seasons, reminds us of the start of the new school year and makes us want to start new things!

Stuff happens, so don't be too hard on yourself...I'm sure you made some pretty sweet deals there :D

That butterfly is really cute, I can understand why you like it so much :)

Yikes! But your stitching looks wonderful, and your store is busy, so all is good.

No pictures of your new stash?! Lol don't be hard on yourself maybe if you sold some of your stash you could make up the difference? Or just stitch away and earn it back!

The butterfly looks awesome! Don't feel too guilty about spending so much, there's still enough time left to earn a few bucks by finishing some projects. :-)
