Counting Bats Finished (Finally!!)

Happy dance!!
The unusually stiff fabric and over one on 32ct drama is finally over!
For some unknown reason I did not really enjoy this piece. Even though I love Halloween and Just Nan. Even though I had the gorgeous silk pack to stitch with and perfect purple fabric.
It just wasn't the joy I expected. So some 3-4 years after starting it I finally have finished it!

Here it is:

Just Nan "Counting Bats"
32ct Purple Weeks Dye Works fabric
Designs 2 threads over 2
Letters & numbers 1 thread over 1
Silk pack of Au Soie from Just Nan used; charms and beads as in pack

Thanks to everyone for their cheering and push for me to finish this piece. I'm quite pleased with how it looks but mostly just happy it's finally done and off the WIP list.

Off to put some stitches into Dragons!! And just ordered a couple gift pieces that you will see soon. One is a baby piece; two are Xmas gifts. Should be fun and quick stitches (or so I hope, otherwise I'm in trouble, lol)

Congrats! I know how hard it is with 32 over 1...that's what I'm stitching my big project on and it's difficult. I had to buy an led lamp to help me see.

Congrats on being done. I can definitely understand the deep sigh that probably came to you upon its finish.... like a weight had been removed from your needles. :)

Beautiful finish, I love it ^_^ Any yay for more dragons, maybe you WILL finish them this year after all; wouldn't that be awesome?

Also looking forwards to seeing your little gift pieces, I'm glad SFS has this exeption :)

Huge congrats on finishing Counting Bats. It looks stunning and I hope you will get pleasure from seeing it on display even if you didn't enjoy stitching it. I've never used WDW linen and may continue to avoid it

So sorry you didn't really enjoy this piece but it does look lovely. The fabric colour is beautiful too. If you never want to set eyes on the chart again I would be happy to give it a home LOL

Looking forward to seeing some Dragons next!

Congrats on your finish. It turned out nice despite you didn't enjoy it as much as you though.

So sorry that you could not really enjoy stitching this piece as much as you had expected. The fabric we stitch on can contribute to the joy or spoil it. You must be so relieved that it's finally done. And it is looking absolutely gorgeous.

It looks amazing, it's a shame you didn't feel the joy whilst stitching, but as you say at least its over and you can stitch something you love working on!! xo Alicia
