I have two WIP pics to share with you all.
I have been trying to concentrate on the ducky and the moon the past week or so. I want to get the moon done so that my new smalls can be Xmas ornaments for my Mom and Grandma. I will share the pattern when I get there, but they are awesome! :)
And of course the ducky is a gift and needs to get done before I can start Counting Bats by Just Nan. can you tell I'm tired of my projects and want to move onto others? lol.
(and I am still spending time with Dragons, an update later this week, I try to stitch it on Tues/Thurs nights so I will have progress that is worth showing soon)
Okay... here is the latest on the ducky... (ugh blue)
And here is the latest on the Moon. I decided to do some of the backstitching now that could be done. I'm not a huge fan of backstitch and didn't want to leave it all to the end, because then it just feels really cumbersome.
Here is the latest:
Thanks for visiting and for all your comments!
Coming up soon will be a Dragons update like I said and more on these two. In the meantime happy stitchign!

LNS Trip
Well it was probably my last LNS trip of the year (unless I get lucky) as the snow will be flying here sometime in the next month or so. They are going to ship me to Calgary the threads that are on order for my Chatelaine. I feel like I'm hibernating now into stitching at the house. ;)
So... I went there to pick up my JCS Ornament edition. So awesome!
And I got my Counting Bats by Just Nan picked up with the thread pack. I love it so much.
I got a purple fabric for it just like in the pick. If you haven't seen this one here is what it looks like:
I also was spontaneously bad and picked up a Jeanette Douglass that I saw and just loved immediately... it's called Time to Read. And I got a thread back for it too. (sorry I don't have any "real" photos that we took, just these from the 'net today... it was a bit of a crazy night last night). But here is what it looks like:
Thank you for your comments the other day. I did decline the volunteer thing. And I feel good about that decision now. No one responded. So they are either fine with it or mad about it. Either way I feel like it's the right decision for me.
I know alot of you want me to start Circle of Friends... I will do that one very soon. But I think once ducky is done I am going to start Counting Bats. But it may still be another month or so before that happens so we'll see what I'm in the mood for then.
As always thank you so much for visiting my blog. I love all the comments! And I hope everyone has a great weekend.

An update
Well it has been a bit of a crazy week.
We are starting to get very busy at the office. But the overtime will start again after Canadian Thanksgiving (Oct 12 for my US friends). And then it will be crazy until the end of November.
I am trying to get all my ducks in a row with personal stuff and stitching before then of course. I'd love to have the ducky done for my friend by then... but three weeks just doesn't seem doable so I'll have to stick with my Xmas deadline on that one.
I did get some great news this morning. My LNS has my Counting Bats by Just Nan in! I ordered this as soon as I got it. So I'm hoping that after a "work schmooze" event tonight I can get there before they close to pick it up.
But I will try, try, try to resist the temptation to start it before the ducky is done.
I am also contemplating starting my Mirabilia "Circle of Friends" too. I have to pick which one of them to start as I'm only allowed to start one.
Opinions?
I also have a bit of a dilema that I have to make a decision about. A group that I used to volunteer for (but had a bit of a falling out with) has flipped management and the new guy in charge is two of my best friends Dad. He has asked four of us (his two kids and two others of us that were actively involved in the past) to organize an event for him. It would, of course be, volunteer. And the event runs for a weekend and has a scavenger hunt and such.
I can't decide if I want to say yes or no. I'm inclined to say no but not really sure how to go about it... I think the others will say yes (one already confirmed). But I am a bit nervous now that I've gotten back to feeling better and the like that I don't want to take on any unnecessary stress.
But at the same time I feel selfish if I turn them down. The reality is that the event is ALOT of work. And will take up lots of precious stitching nights (see the selfishness coming out again...). So I'm trying to decide what to do. And if I do decline how do so graciously...
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks to all for entering my giveaway and for commenting on all my posts. You're all so awesome! :)

And the winner is...
Well we pulled names last night for giveaway #3.
And the winner is...
SHELLEY!!!!
Congrats to you Shelley. I'll be sending you an email to get mailing information. :)
Thank you to everyone who entered and for continuing to visit my blog. More giveaways will be in the future.
But for now back to our regularly scheduled program with WIP pics:
This is my progress on Moon Mirror. I need to get this one finished up so I can work on the two ornaments I picked out for my Mom and Grandma to do. They are from the Button Up series. And will be what I start after the Moon is done. But for now here is a pic of Moon (a note: I have replaced some of the colours and added glow in the dark too so if you think it looks a bit different... that is because it is!)
And a WIP pic of the duck. I can't wait for this one to be done. I'm kinda bored with it. But it's a gift so I have to keep trucking along. Here it is with the past week's work:
That is all for now. Coming up: More WIP pics. And hopefully some finishes soon! Thanks for visiting! :)

Good luck!

Papillon SAL - Part 3 Complete! (and Pirate WIP pic)
Well after many discussions about the Papillon Creations SAL on my ILCS Yahoo Group I felt inspired to get Part 3 done this weekend.
I only have to frog like 4 times. That has to be a record for a part. There is alot of counting in this one and it's pretty tough.
Anyhow... here it is so far:
And a perspective shot:
I also worked a bit on my Love Pirate. Here it is so far (and yes the material is all bunchy and needs to be ironed because I don't have this one on scroll rods. Just doing it in my hand. So forgive the creases...
Coming up: A giveaway! Look Wednesday for a giveaway here! :)

Ducky WIP
A note to all those who were directly affected or knew those in the 9/11 attacks. We are all thinking of you... even those of us that are not American... My thoughts go out to everyone.
Alright... onto stitching stuff.
I have been working on the ducky... and have started in on the blue.. the yellow is now all done. In the bottom right you will see how the last colour is a pale sky blue.. .that is the true edge and will go all the way around. This allows us to have some water, the bubbles but still show the pretty pretty colour of the material.
Here is the pic:
There will for sure be a giveaway next week. Probably tuesday, so watch for that here on my blog.
Until then I hope everyone has a great weekend. And thank you so much for your comments!

Chatelaine pattern & Frame on Beatings
This months edition of The Gift of Stitching online magazine has a wonderful piece by Martina Weber of Chatelaine. I was very excited to see that I liked it and can afford to do it as it is mostly DMC and not all silks (most of her patterns are all silks).
So I have picked up my antique white, ordered my beads and silks and am going to do this Chatelaine. It will give me a chance to see how I like her stuff and to say that I've done one.
Here is a picture of what it will look like...
I will not be starting it right away... for now it goes into the stash pile. But maybe soon...
I also got the frame for Beatings and am very pleased with it. This piece is in our "pirate themed" bathroom. And I think it's just too cute. Here is a pic of the final work (sorry the glare is so bad):
I am working on another Sue Hillis the "Love Pirate" (you can see a pic in my sidebar) I will post a new photo of its progress soon.
Coming up: So I will have a new progress pic of ducky as the blue water grows around him. And I will be having a giveaway probably monday or tuesday or next week. Stay tuned for more details. :)
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on Judgement. I am aiming to have page 4 done before Christmas or maybe even before Halloween, but that is probably wishful thinking on Oct 31. But I guess only time will tell.

Page 3 of Judgement complete!
Okay... I know it's only page 3... of 20. But it's still an accomplishment in this huge, epic project in my opinion.
So with no delay here it is: Judgement Dragons by Character Creations with Page 3 complete!
Whew... only 17 more pages to go!
I also finally got all my supplies organized and thought I'd share a photo of my new storage area for stitching. On top are the new, converted nail holders to thread holders. Then below that is my tub for my scroll rods and material, then below that is the drawers that hold all my patterns and misc stuff! It's my little heaven in the closet. :)
Alright... Coming up I will be having a giveaway probably next week... so stay tuned for details. And I will have an update on ducky, as the blue is growing around the yellow on him and my frame finish for beatings.
As always thank you so much for visiting and your comments. I have not had a chance to catch up on my blog comments to all of you. So forgive me I will be getting to them this week! I can't wait to see what everyone has been up to all week.

Threads Arrived!!
So I got threads in the mail today from Mary at ILCS Yahoo Group. It was a part of the Carrie's Thread exchange. And I love them all! Especially the Halloween one! So very cute!
So thank you to Mary.
Here is a pic of all the fabulous colours I got!
I also took a picture of the ducky. We have decided to do the first outline of blue on the ducky because it has little bubbles in it. Don't fret, you will still see lots of that great material when it is framed. I was a bit unsure about doing the blue but my B/F has convinced me into it... Here is a pic of it with almost all the yellow done...
I am more than 3/4 of the way done part 3 (I think is the part I am on) of the Papillion SAL so hopefully more pics coming soon of that part finished. And I have completely lagged on my goal of page 3 of Judgement Dragons so I HAVE to pick that up this week as well! So much stitching and not enough time. ;)
