Stitching: Mirabilla Mermaid

So, I've been casually picking up this pretty Mirabilla Mermaid for the last... 5 or 6 years. I was kind of embarrassed with myself the other day when I realized how long it has been... but what can you do. Time passes as it does. Lol!

So here's the middle section of her tail I have been working on. No overall pic as I am too lazy to take her off the scrolls... more lols!

The first picture has the best colour in it. The fabric is a wonderfully soft old Silkweavers 28ct hand dyed green fabric.
There is a lot of Krenik in this girly and that may be why I left her for long periods of time. I'd like to make some decent progress on her this year.

It's been a year of a major start with the Alice HAED and so maybe that also makes it a year of finishing up other stuff! :)

Thanks for dropping by and Happy Stitching!

Hi Mel,Time certainly gets away from you and I'm glad you picked up this project again. Green is my favorite color and look at those beautiful greens! It's stunning and I'm looking forward to seeing a larger photo. Not sure what Krenick is?? Is that beading? Mary

Goodness why on earth would using Kreinik slow you down? It's lovely to use! Once you have looped it on the needle you are good to go :)

I'm not a huge Kreinik fan either. But I've seen this one finished before, and it will be worth it in the end...I promise! It's a beautiful design. --Andrea

It will be worth all the metallic stitching, she will be so sparkly!

That's a great use of sparkles! Really looks like scales.

The mermaid is beautiful, but I fully understand the Kreinik slow down. I have converted as many of them to PTB as I can, but have a couple of projects that were started with them and are too far along to rip it all out and start over.

She is beautiful. I am not a fan of metallic threads, but you can do it.
